The many kinds of muscles associated with spine make a confusing array, but it helps to think of them as belonging to two groups: the outer layers & inner layers. The outer layers are superficial spinal muscles. The inner layers are the deep spinal muscles.

When the spinal muscles all work together, they help extend the spine, like when you straighten back up after bending over.

“Clair Davis”

One of my favourite foam roll mobilisation techniques, used to self treat ▫️Back pain ▫️Stiffness ▫️Relieve pressure on joints ▫️Reduce inflammation ▫️Improve nerve function ▫️increasing spinal range of motion . This video is set at x2, when doing this technique the clients should take their time, concentrate on breathing technique & only taking the mobilisations down as far as they feel comfortable.

Spine Mobilisation

●   This is designed to increase the mobility of your spine.
●   Always make sure to warm the back up first by rolling up & down
on the foam roller.
●   Mobilisations should start from the thoracic vertebrae working
your way down to the lumbar.
●   Take each vertebrae one at a time
●   The process should be done slowly relaxing into the stretch
●   The process can be repeated as many times as u feel necessary
